The patrol division uses Ford Crown Victoria's as the patrol vehicle for your neighborhood. The department also has three Harley Davidson Police motorcycles, and several all-terrain police bicycles that support Patrol Services. Most of the marked police cars have a C.R.I.M.E.S. unit which stands for Computerized Record Information and Mobile Entry System. These are lap-top computers which provide officers access to the State and National driver, vehicle and criminal information systems. Officers can run license plate listings, and check suspects for warrants right from the car.

The Natick Police Radio system operates on an assigned frequency of 472.7375 MHz.

The Traffic Safety Unit is also a part of the Operations Division. The unit consists of patrol officers who have received additional training in traffic related matters. There are five officers trained in advanced motor vehicle crash investigation and one sergeant is a qualified Motor Vehicle Crash Reconstructionist.
